Wood-fired & gas pizza ovens, baking on stone

Our ovens are equipped with firebricks all around. The moistness of the dough is absorbed by the stones and returned to the product as it bakes. This results in optimum quality. Furthermore, temperatures of 500-540º C are possible. In other words perfect for Neapolitan pizzas. With the stored heat you can bake one batch after another: 320-330º C is especially good for pizzas and tartes flambées.

Electric stone ovens

The electric stone ovens by Helar Roto-Pizza work on the same principle as the wood-fired ovens. The electric stone ovens are fully clad on the inside with firebricks. These store the heat and gently radiate it back to the product. This guarantees an optimum result and the firebricks also have a balancing effect.  First they absorb the moisture from the dough before subsequently returning it to the product during the baking process.

The stone ovens made by Helar Roto-Pizza are special machines. They are solidly made and assembled by hand by oven specialists. Once assembled they are carefully inspected and approved. Every single oven is a piece of high-class workmanship designed for decades of hard work. Our ovens are based on the age-old principle of baking with hot stone for perfect results. For this reason, a stone oven will never go out of fashion. It is timeless, robust and provides wonderful baking quality. Today many ovens consist of a metal housing into which hot air is blown. These ovens can be used flexibly and are cheap to produce. However they need to be heated continuously, require constant energy during baking and result in reduced quality as the product dries out in the oven cavity.

Baking quality

So if you value the very best baking quality, then you should consider other parameters. Whether you’re baking a pizza or a tarte flambée, baking on hot stone is regarded as the most authentic method. No matter whether it’s a pizza, a tarte flambée or bread - there is a wonderful aroma and an incomparable taste, just like from an original wood-fired oven. The electric stone ovens by Helar Roto-Pizza are fully clad inside with 6 cm firebricks. These store the heat and gently radiate it back to the product. This is known as radiant heat, which guarantees optimum results. Furthermore, firebricks have a balancing effect. First they absorb the moisture from the dough before subsequently returning it to the product during the baking process.
